"Tristan helped me get a demo reel together which resulted in me signing with Q6! He's been a huge help as an acting coach when I couldn't figure out which direction to go with an audition. TAKE THIS CLASS! Take anything Tristan offers because it's hard figuring things out on your own. I always leave feeling more confident than ever for my next audition."

What will you learn in this intensive?
At V8S, we believe in stretching our actors and also providing characters that will fit the types of roles they will be most likely audition for.
THE BASICS:
Themes – What is the script about (beside the obvious details of the plot)? What message or ideas is it trying to get across? How does your character fit into that?
Circumstances – Where is the scene taking place? What time period is it? What significance does this have for your character? How does it affect their behavior?
Motivation – Why is your character in this scene? What are they trying to achieve? Why does this matter to them? How do their actions advance (or fail to advance) their goals?
Relationships – How is your character connected to the other people in the scene? How do they feel about each other? What do they want from each other?
Scene study covers: objectives, actions, beats, script analysis, given circumstances, character development, emotional preparation, language, and consistent through line. We will also work with improvisation.
