Sam Bangs - Guest Acting Instructor

Sam Bangs began acting at age 8, and lifting weights at 13, in a small town in southern New Hampshire. After graduating high school, Sam attended Marymount Manhattans Musical Theatre Program before transferring into the University of Miami's Acting Conservatory with a minor in film. Post-graduation she moved to LA and became production manager for a weight loss documentary. After interviewing so many leaders in the fitness industry, she was inspired to become a certified trainer as a compliment to her acting pursuits. Sam has amassed multiple theatre, film, and commercial credits, including a featured role in Dean Devlin's upcoming film Bad Samaritan.
She became an ACE certified personal trainer in 2013, quickly gaining clientele all over LA thanks to her vision of delivering personalized programs that work, are convenient, and affordable. In 2014 she became a USATF certified running coach and the head of training programs at Fleet Feet Sports Burbank. This past year, Sam became a functional fitness specialist to better cater to her diverse array of clients: Performers can be faced with long and physically demanding shoot days, writers spend a lot of time sitting while cranking out ideas, camera operators and grips are hauling pounds of equipment, and it all takes it's toll.
When it comes to having a career in the entertainment industry, Sam believes health and fitness should be an investment that doesn't break the bank. It's so much more than attaining a Hollywood standard of beauty; it's about making sure your body can meet the demands you ask of it.
