Heidi has been teaching since 2006 and her goals as a teacher are to inspire students to strive for excellence while fostering a love and passion for making music and performing, and to push students to become "artists" rather than simply singers or musicians. Heidi emphasizes a positive and encouraging learning environment while teaching the fundamentals of musicianship, music theory, music history, correct posture and breathing, vocal health, stage presence, character development, and acting techniques.
Her methods are creative, fun, and catered toward the individual student, using her own unique teaching vocabulary. Heidi encourages her students to explore many song styles and coaches them in proper technique for each style. She loves exploring all genres of singing including pop, rock, blues, country, musical theater, and classical, and encourages her vocalists to become versatile and well-rounded performers.

Here are what her students and their parents are saying:
"My vibrato has improved so much because of Miss Heidi. I get compliments on it constantly! Working with Miss Heidi is like having sparkles thrown in your face: Fabulous~" - Allie, voice student
"I decided to start voice lessons to further my interest in stage performance. Little did I know that my teacher, Heidi, would inspire me to discover a new passion. Heidi is an amazing teacher who has incredible gift to teach and also an absolutely beautiful voice." - Julia, voice student
" Heidi brings out the inner diva in her students, instills self confidence and creativity. She teaches them performance in it's entirety, including presentation and stage presence along with voice. She encourages her students through positive reinforcement. Her enthusiasm makes even the necessary (but sometimes boring) exercise fun... Heidi takes a personal interest in her student's success." - Donna, parent
